RUMOR: Multiple developers invited to Nintendo of America
Care to comment, Nintendo?
Nintendo isn’t stupid. They know everyone is talking about the Switch successor right now, and that’s without Nintendo revealing a single tidbit about the platform. Now those rumors are set to grow even louder, as there’s word on the street that the Big N. just welcomed some important people into their hallowed halls.
Multiple industry insiders are claiming that Nintendo of America just hosted an event that saw various developers invited to the HQ. At the very least, we do have confirmation that Limited Run Games’ CEO Josh Fairhurst was at NoA yesterday, which certainly adds a bit of credibility to the rumors. As to what was discussed, that information hasn’t leaked at this time. Of course, we don’t need any details to spill out for people to run wild with speculation on the Switch’s successor.
Just today, Pathea Games announced that My Time at Evershine is going to see release on the Switch successor. They also revealed a Kickstarter for their game, and that’s set to go live on Sept. 24th, 2024. Now people are looking at the rumor of developers visiting Nintendo HQ, the confirmation of My Time at Evershine heading to Switch’s successor, and the date of the Kickstarter as some sort of indicator that Nintendo will pull back the curtain on their next-gen hardware before September closes out.
It’s fun to get caught up in the hype, excitement and mystery about Nintendo’s next piece of hardware, but remember that it’s all just speculation for now. We’ll keep our ear to the ground for more rumors and rumblings, but we’ll also make sure to bring you the official facts as soon as they become available.
