While a slate of new content and modes was recently announced for Pokémon UNITE, our friends in Belgium and the Netherlands won’t be able to enjoy it.
Pokémon Co. has announced that Pokémon UNITE is going to end service in both Belgium and the Netherlands. The game will remain live until Oct. 31st, 2024, but after that registration and renewal of memberships, along with the selling of Aeos gems will be discontinued. Following that, the entire game will become unplayable as of November 30th, 2025.
An official reason for the game’s closure has not been given, but many believe it has to do with the extremely strict loot box regulations in Belgium and the Netherlands. Should we get an official answer to why service is ending, we’ll make sure to provide you with those details.
