Examining Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom's new Goron language

Every new Legend of Zelda game is a mammoth undertaking for Nintendo. The base characters and locations may be there, but the Big N and their partners have to come up with brand-new puzzles, mechanics, stories, characters, creatures and more with every single installment. It’s so much work it makes you wonder how anything ever gets done!

Of course, Nintendo is never content with just doing the bare minimum for their games, so they always pay attention to the minor details just as much as the major elements. With Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, that very much includes the language characters use, and it appears Nintendo decided to come up with yet another way for Gorons to speak.

Plenty of Zelda games have introduced new languages and fonts, but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo from tackling the idea yet again in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Eagle-eyed fans might have noticed a language in the Goron area of the game that appears to be brand-new to the Zelda series, but can it be deciphered?
