Haley Joel Osment shares his love of Zelda, wants to be in the movie
I see ReDead people
The Legend of Zelda live-action movie was announced awhile ago, and fans have been speculating ever since. There’s been plenty of talk about what the movie will be about story-wise, but the bigger chatter has been the casting. Just who’s going to pop up in this film? Well, if Haley Joel Osment has his way, he’ll be a part of it.
In an interview with IGN, Haley Joel Osment spoke about his deep appreciation for The Legend of Zelda. Not only is he a franchise fan, he also wants to be in the upcoming movie as well.
“Ocarina and Majora’s Mask, those are my original Star Wars [trilogy]. …Oh, my hat’s in the ring, they know my hat’s been in the ring (for the movie). Link was like 37 when he did all this, right!? Seventeen, 37? As a kid, I was like, ‘obviously they’re gonna make [Ocarina of Time] a movie soon, the story’s all written out for you!’ And you’re like, ‘that’d be very challenging to make into a compelling two-hour movie.’ “
While it’s unlikely HJO will get the starring role he’s been dreaming of since he was a kid, there’s no reason he couldn’t be part of the project. If he did end up getting cast in the film, who do you think he’d be fit to play?
