Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has increased their stake in Nintendo to 8.26%, making them the largest foreign shareholder of the big red. This comes just two days after the PIF increased their stake to 7.08%, a move that could have been motivated by the recent decline in Nintendo’s stock prices following the latest financial results. The PIF is clearly confidence in the future prospects of Nintendo. They also have also increased their stake in EA and Take-Two Interactive from 5.1% to 5.8% and 5.3% to 6.8%, respectively. Nintendo themselves are the only ones now that own more shares than the PIF.

To avoid any confusion, this investment does not change anything in how Nintendo operates unless Nintendo themselves announces some changes due to an alliance like they did when they collaborated with DeNA.

UPDATE: Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, the vice chair of gaming division of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has said they are considering further investment in Nintendo, but they are in no rush to do so. That said, if they were to make the move to increase their stake, Prince Faisal said it would be done in a “friendly” way.

UPDATE 2: Following comments from Prince Faisal, Savvy Games Group has said that they’re not just looking at upping their stake in Nintendo specifically, but Japanese game companies in general. Along with that, Savvy Games Group noted that Prince Faisal is not an official spokesperson for the Public Investment Fund.

The humble Belgian Indie studio Rablo Games is celebrating the launch of Necro Story today! The light-hearted creature collection RPG is Out Now on Nintendo Switch.

Today at Tokyo Game Show 2024, KOEI TECMO America and developer Gust unveiled new details about the combat system in FAIRY TAIL 2, the new action RPG based on the popular manga and anime franchise FAIRY TAIL. In an epic new trailer, fans can discover more about real-time battles that Natsu and his friends will encounter when fighting against Emperor Spriggan Zeref and his elite team, the Spriggan 12. A direct sequel to KOEI TECMO’s 2020 game, FAIRY TAIL 2 will be released Dec. 13 for the Nintendo Switch.

To capture the intensity and thrill of the Alvarez Empire Arc, FAIRY TAIL 2 features revamped real-time magical battles packed with even more spectacular action. In addition to their powerful emblematic attacks, the FAIRY TAIL guild members will unleash impressive attacks in cooperation with their allies by using “Link Attacks” and “Unison Raid” to defeat their enemies. Speed, precision and synergy will be the key to a triumphant strategy over the formidable Spriggan 12 mages.

In the newly unveiled trailer, fans get a glimpse of the new character progression mechanics that will allow them to create their own FAIRY TAIL experience by managing the skill progression of their favorite characters. Players will also be able to deepen their FAIRY TAIL experience by unlocking character stories as they advance through the story, giving them the opportunity to discover new facets of these beloved characters thanks to brand-new, original sequences and interactions.

Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have announced Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, a new title set in the world of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. This will be an offline game with an original story, scheduled for release in 2025.

Level-5 has released a new trailer showing the upcoming new content coming to MEGATON MUSASHI W: WIRED. The ‘Megarobo Batroseum’ will be adding new features to the game, you can check all the details of this update in the trailer above.

Level-5 has released a new trailer for Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, check it out above. The game is scheduled to release in 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.

The story takes place in Steam Bison, America.

Level-5 has announced a remake for the first entry in the INAZUMA ELEVEN series, the remake is titled ‘INAZUMA ELEVEN RE’ and will be releasing for the Nintendo Switch. No release date was given.

Level-5 has announced that INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road release date has been pushed to June 2025. A new trailer was released, check it out above.

In Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, the story has shifted to a tale of training/working hard one step at a time to achieve victory. The goal is to build a proper original story, then implement past characters on top of that to make something that newcomers and longtime fans can appreciate.

Level-5 has announced that DECAPOLICE is once again being delayed, but this time, it received a giant delay from 2024 to 2026 as the developers look to evolve it into a more engaging experience. A new trailer was released, which you can check above.

The main character, a rookie detective named Harvard, hunts down criminals in a huge open-world crime-ridden city, travelling back and forth between physical and virtual reality. Look forward to a mysterious detective story with investigations in virtual space. Level-5 aims to to build a dense and immersive world.

Level-5 has revealed that FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time is now releasing in April 2025, for the Nintendo Switch. A new trailer was released, which showcases the newly added stuff. Check it out above.

Level-5 has announced a brand new game titled “Holy Horror Mansion”, the next evolution for the Yo-Kai Watch series. Check out the official teaser above. No release date or platform were revealed.

Publisher Bandai Namco recently confirmed that SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream will be released worldwide on Switch on Oct. 4th, 2024. Following that news, a fresh trailer has also dropped that showcases how the system works in the game, which you can check out above.

SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream has been confirmed to be a cross-platform compatible game with no loot boxes, and it supports up-to-20-player co-op. The dev team specifically set out to test cross-platform and online co-op functionality to make sure they could get everything working perfectly on all platforms, and obviously those tests were a success.

Following the recent beta test, the devs also noted some changes that will be implemented in the final game. In the final release, you’ll be able to turn automatic lock-on off, Goddess Statues will appear, difficulty will be based on how many players you’re with, and offline Story Mode and online Free Mode will be available. Last but not least, another beta test could happen at some point.

In SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream, a new system is applied to the world of Alfheim Online, but a malfunction causes all worlds and timelines to collide, creating a unique setting and challenging environment for Kirito and other players.
