The release date for Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club: TOKIMEKI Roadmap to the Future has been announced for Japan. Launching for Switch on April 24th, 2024, the Bushiroad Games-published visual novel will be available both digitally and physically, with standard, limited, and “TOKIMEKI” editions announced. While we don’t know if the game will be released in the west, English language support is featured in the Japanese release. ARTE, RTBF, Ram Ram Games and Business Goose have announced that 30 BIRDS, a persian mythology-inspired adventure game, is coming to Nintendo Switch. While we don’t have a release date just yet, the game is expected to launch by the end of the year. Check out a trailer above and more details below via the press release.

30 BIRDS is a poetic and light-hearted game that combines an oriental fairy tale with a thrilling investigation.

Zig, a young woman and mysterious detective, wanders through a mystical world of spinning lanterns to find the thirty birds that will enable her to save Simurgh, the missing patron goddess. Along the way, Zig encounters curious characters and colourful challenges.

In this mesmerising journey, the player takes on the role of Zig as she navigates through breathtaking landscapes and solves fun and complex puzzles in an attempt to unravel the mystery of Simurgh’s disappearance.

The stunning artistic direction of 30 BIRDS was inspired by a trip to Istanbul during which the two creators, Coline Sauvand and Laurent Toulouse, discovered Persian miniatures, a 15th-century Persian pictorial tradition.

After producing a book in 2014, ‘Le Carnet d’Istanbul’, featuring a story, sketches and revisited Persian miniatures, they wanted to transcribe their experience and use their illustrations to create a video game.

The hand-painted sets in 30 BIRDS create a captivating, enchanted world where 2D and 3D complement each other in a unique way to the rhythm of the electro soundtrack.

A finalized release date has been announced for All You Need Is Help. The puzzle action co-op game from developer and publisher Q-Games launches for Switch on Oct. 4th, 2024. Since the game launched today for other platforms, a launch trailer has been released, which you can check out above. More details are below.

All You Need is Help is a puzzle action game where four players must work together to fit their adorable creatures into place. While players are free to move around they must use each other to rotate! The four player co-op game supports cross platform play, so whether it’s online or locally, anyone can join in the fun!

Developer ExoGenesis Studios has announced that INAYAH - Life After Gods, their hand-animated 2D action-platformer, is coming to Nintendo Switch. While we don’t have a proper release date just yet, the game is expected to launch sometime in Q2 2025. Check out the teaser trailer above and more info below via the press release.

Crafted by industry veterans with experience on acclaimed titles such as Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, as well as artists who worked for Disney and Blizzard, INAYAH is a visually breathtaking 2D action-platformer. Using the powers of her magical multifunction Gauntlet, Inayah will not only run, jump, and dash through the world, but also come face-to-face and battle various creatures and bosses, transforming the Gauntlet into Blades, Fists, and a Flail, each with unique powers and combo moves. Players will customize their characters through an RPG-style mechanic, with options to enhance their companion’s abilities, weapons, and gear.

Developer ISTOM Games and publisher Excalibur Games have announced that their fast-paced third-person racing game, Turbo Boost Racing, launches for Switch via the eShop on Sept. 27th, 2024. A boxed retail version will also be released on Oct. 18th, 2024, which includes a physical copy of the game and 2x LED racing wheels.

After a delay from the initially planned 2023 release, The Devil Within: Satgat is now expected to launch for Nintendo Switch sometime in 2025. Developer Newcore Games and global publisher CFK have now signed a publishing deal with Newcore Games, which is a good sign there won’t be any more delays.

In The Devil Within: Satgat, Using their flashy swordsman skills, players can venture through an intricately interwoven world, including cities in absolute ruins, dense jungles, a secret base hidden within a desert, ruins, and even dimensional gateways. Dig up secrets that no one has uncovered to discover powerful new artifacts.

In this world where most living beings have become evil spirits left to merely wander, players must become the last warrior this ruined world has left, find any inhabitants that may still be alive, and lead them back to the remaining havens of life. Players must make use of the sword and firearm skills of this final warrior, training their bodies in order to face these powerful devils.

In addition to the attacks mentioned above, in The Devil Within: Satgat, players can find and punish a number of unique demons lurking throughout the world, grafting this evil power into their beings to carry out even more powerful attacks. However, as the journey progresses and this power is strengthened, players must be on the lookout for clues on how to control this body that is being increasingly eroded by evil.

Today, NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS welcomes a new season pass character, Boruto Uzumaki (Karma Progression), included as part of DLC Pack 5.

Cat Rescue Story, a cat care-taking simulation game from developer Tivola and publisher NACON, is now available on Switch. Check out the launch trailer above and more info below via the press release.

In Cat Rescue Story, players discover a touching story in which they inherit a family home. With the help of a friendly neighbourhood, they are invited to renovate the house and turn it into a shelter for cats of over 50 different breeds. As the story progresses, the player will have to extend his house to be able to take in new stray cats in good conditions.

Through a series of mini-games, players take care of their little protégés by caring for them and playing with them, with the aim of finding them a loving home: each cat taken in must find its new owner for life, taking into account its personality traits.

With its colourful art direction, engaging story, accessible gameplay and positive messages about protecting animals and nature, Cat Rescue Story is the ideal game to bring parents and children together for a fun, friendly experience.

A new paid DLC is now available for Monster Jam Showdown, adding three new trucks, each with three unique coats of paint. The “Soldiers & Pirates” DLC is included in the Monster Jam Showdown Season Pass but can also be purchased separately for $5. Soldier Fortune Black Ops is the special forces-inspired spinoff of the Monster Jam truck Soldier Fortune, a truck created to pay tribute to U.S. military members. Also, two pirate themed Monster Jam trucks will make their debut in the game: Black Pearl and Captain’s Curse. Black Pearl debuted in 2017, and quickly proved to be one of the most successful trucks on the Monster Jam circuit. Captain’s Curse, debuting in 2007, competed in every Monster Jam World Finals until 2015 and was one of the most beloved trucks by the fans, until its retirement in 2016. Players are now called to leave everything behind and seek their fortune aboard such fearless trucks.

Koei Tecmo’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 REMAKE is now available for digital pre-order from the Nintendo eShop. The tactical strategy game launches for Switch on Oct 24th, 2024. Check out the latest English trailer above, previously only available in Japanese.

ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE is based on ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS VIII with Power Up Kit, complete with both the “All Officers Play” and “All Periods Scenarios” features. In addition, the game boasts all-new graphical and game system upgrades to help reawaken the title as the newest addition to KOEI TECMO’s long revered franchise.

A physical Switch release of Spirit Mancer has been announced. The upcoming hack and slash deckbuilding game will be distributed by Tesura Games, and will be available as both standard and collector’s editions. A release date for the digital version of Spirit Mancer has not yet been announced, but is expected sometime in November 2024, while the physical release is planned for “Q4 2024.” Pre-orders are now available from retailers, Amazon and the Tesura Store.

At Tokyo Game Show 2024, publisher Daedalic Entertainment announced that console versions of Woodo will launch simultaneously with PC, including Nintendo Switch. Next-generation consoles (Switch 2, anyone?) will also be supported in the future, it’s been confirmed. A release date for the cozy 3D puzzle game has not yet been shared, but you can check out the latest trailer above.

“Woodo” takes players on a serene adventure, immersing them in a heartwarming world through diorama-style puzzle assembly mechanics. Whether young or old, the game’s wholesome storytelling will captivate players of all ages. The peaceful, creative nature of the gameplay makes it an ideal addition to any console library.
